Ho, ho, ho! My little one is feeling better today so we were out stringing lights on our bushes and I realized that it’s getting to be time to start giving gifts to friends, neighbors, teachers, not to mention hostess gifts… oh, the list just goes on and on. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Well, never fear because I have a treat for you today! Let’s take a quick step right over to your pantry and let me show you that tucked inside there just might be the ingredients for the perfect gift! Really, just a few common pantry staples can be combined to make a dazzling Homemade Christmas Gift from the Kitchen!
Best of all – it’s quick, easy and especially tasty – helping to not overload our already bustling holiday schedules. What is it? A delicious White Chocolate Party Mix! The perfect treat to give (and especially eat!) this holiday season. I love the combination of the sweet and the salty. Now, I must warn you this stuff is ridiculously addictive – especially the white chocolate covered graham crackers… dear me, I could eat my weight in them!
6 ounces of white chocolate chips
2 cups of golden grahams cereal
1 cup of powdered sugar
2 cups honey nut chex cereal
1 1/2 cups salted peanuts
1 cup honey nut cheerios
5 ounces white chocolate covered pretzels
Step 1 ::
Melt white chocolate chips in a large glass bowl in the microwave in 30 second intervals until completely melted. Careful not to burn the chocolate. Once melted stir in golden grahams cereal. Finally stir in powdered sugar and set aside.
Step 2 ::
In a separate large bowl, combine chex cereal, cheerios, peanuts, and white chocolate covered pretzels. Stir in the white chocolate covered golden grahams. That’s it!
Small canisters, mason jars and tins are all great containers to use for this mix. (You want an airtight seal to keep it fresh.)
Do you like my little tag for the party mix? Well, to make your gift giving even sweeter (and easier!) CLICK HERE to print out a sheet of your very own tags! Simply print and cut out then attach to your container with double stick tape or punch a hole and attach with a piece of twine or ribbon.
Do you like to give and receive delicious homemade goodies too? Do you have a favorite? I’d love to know so please tell me in the comments below! Also, if you make these and use the tags I’d love for you to snap a quick photo and share it with me on my facebook page! You can do that here.
