Welcome friends old & new! I’m so excited to be part of the Styled & Set Holiday Entertaining tour! Didn’t you love Taryn’s gorgeous Scandinavian Christmas table? So classic and elegant! I also want to say a special thank you to Lory from Designthusiasm for hosting!
I am truly proud to be part of such a fabulous group of bloggers. So much gorgeous inspiration!! Since we just had Thanksgiving here in the US, I am now in full holiday mode and am loving seeing all these wonderful ideas to get the decorating juices going. I’m guessing you are too!
This year I’ve designed a french linen with blue & white theme for my Christmas tree and I thought it would be fun to create a table to compliment it. You can see my French Linen Blue & White Christmas Tree here.
I’m sharing lots of photos of the finished table but I thought it would be even more fun to show you how I put this table together, so I created a video for you showing every step! (see below)
Often when planning our holiday entertaining table we plan for it to be in the dining room. But, what if you wanted or needed to move it? Moving a dining room table is no easy feat.
Wouldn’t it be nice if you could use something simple like a folding table, but still have it look fabulous? I think so, so that’s precisely what I did! Watch me pull it all together in this video here:
What did you think? Fun, and best of all, easy, right?
One of the main keys to low-stress entertaining to me is for it to be EASY. If it’s not easy, then it’s probably just not going to happen around here at least. 🙂
Along with this line of thinking, I kept the centerpiece simple: a beautiful tureen, a trio of green mini trees with ribbon accents, and some plain white ornaments. Nothing more and yet it compliments this scene perfectly.
I love the mix of ornaments as favors on the plates.
I had fun mixing the ornaments up. You can see a tutorial on How to Make a Framed Chalkboard Ornament here. They are quite simple and affordable – and have so many uses! Great for hanging on the tree, using as a gift tag, or as a place card or favor.
