How to Host an Easy & Beautiful Patriotic Party
We are entering the height of summer entertaining, so let's bring out the Red, White & Blue!! I've had fun designing a collection of papers for summer barbecues that have a romantic flair with my Patriotic Floral collection. Today I want to introduce you to these new printables and share my tips on How to Host an Easy & Beautiful Patriotic Party!
Included in the collection is this fun “Celebrate” banner. Obviously, this phrase is special to me (it's part of my blog name, after all!) but I like it too because it's perfect for so many types of parties! Summer barbecues, birthdays, even summer themed weddings or showers could use this!
It has a sweet floral piece as well as the blue letter flags too.
Just print the PDF, cut out the individual flags, punch a hole and string with ribbon. Easy and fun!
The collection features four complimentary designs. An allover floral, some stars and dot stripes, and a mix. You can see all the patterns here in these fun paper cones.
I love how the floral is not only red, white, and blue but soft and romantic too! I've taken the fun paper cone idea and elevated it for grown-ups and kiddos too!
To make them even more whimsical I've filled them with popcorn and some red and blue candies for a fun patriotic treat!
Speaking of treats – I love this array of fabulous fruits and who can resist a watermelon star? My daughter certainly can't! She couldn't wait for me to finish taking the photos – this was the first thing she wanted to munch on!
These skewers are so easy to put together – slice your watermelon and then use a cookie cutter to punch out the star shape. Carefully thread these onto a skewer, slide on a few blueberries, repeat a layer of watermelon and blueberries, and top with a smaller star.
These are especially darling displayed standing up! They make a patriotic silhouette!
I gussied up a few store-bought treats including these brownie bites. They already had stars and whipped cream on them, but I decided to add a little extra flair.
I simply cut up a couple of paper straws and stuck a piece into the brownie bite and then tied on a tiny piece of ribbon like a little flag! Cute and super simple to do!!
I topped a stack of store-bought rice crispie treats which were already sprinkled in festive colors with a little straw flag too.
It doesn't always take a lot to add a bit of sparkle and style.
A simple lemonade is dressed up with strawberries and blackberries. Again, an easy embellishment that doesn't take a lot of effort and yet, adds a nice “wow” factor that guests will enjoy.
There is also a charming pinwheel design included in the collection.
These are easy to assemble using the template in the collection. I cut mine, used a furniture tack to attach it to the dowel. I do recommend placing a bead behind the paper so that the pinwheel will spin freely.
To decorate the “handle” I actually just slid the dowel into a paper straw – so easy! Use a glue dot to help secure the straw to the dowel.
And there you have a sweet and beautiful Patriotic Floral party that you can host on Memorial Day, the 4th of July, or anytime you want some romantic red, white & blue pageantry!
