It's the end of the school year and in case you still need to pull together a teacher gift in a hurry, I wanted to share How to Create an Easy Coffee Themed Thank You Gift with you. This is a fun DIY gift that you can pull together pretty quickly, which is nice when your time is tight wrapping up the busy school season.
I truly feel shocked that it's June already, seriously, where did the time go?! But I'm also delighted that summer break is here. I'm ready to turn off the alarm clock and have a more relaxed schedule for a bit. Before we slip into vacay-mode, my daughter and I wanted to thank her teachers for their support and leadership this year.
One of the reasons that I love this gift is that it really is easy to pull this together – which is especially nice when you have to give several gifts at once.

Supplies for How to Create an Easy Coffee Themed Thank You Gift
- Starbucks Gift Card
- Grande Frappucino Cup with Dome Lid
- Paper Shred
- Printable Tag (Good news! You can download mine for FREE via the link at the bottom of this post!)
- Paper Cutter/Scissors + Hole Punch
- Paper Straw
- Ribbon – I used this Reversible Pink/Green Ribbon
While this gift is simple to pull together, it is a thoughtful gift that teachers are extremely likely to use. A factor that I always admire in presents.
It honestly takes longer to buy the gift cards then to assemble them – yay!
Plus it's a budget-friendly gift to assemble, another bonus when you are gifting to multiple teachers or associates all at once.
How to Create an Easy Coffee Themed Thank You Gift
1 Gather Supplies
Visit your local Starbucks and purchase your gift cards and ask for EMPTY “Grande” Frappuccino cups with the Dome lids.
The “Grande” size is important here. At first, someone gave us a smaller cup but the dome lid wouldn't fit it. Don't ask me why it wouldn't, but it didn't even though we tried and tried! Grande fits the dome lid perfectly though!
2 Download + Print Tags
Download and print the Free “Thanks a Latte” tags that I've created from the free resource library available to my subscribers (there is a link at the bottom of this post).
Use a paper cutter or scissors to cut as many tags as you need (they come 4 to a page).
Use a hole puncher to punch a hole in the top to thread ribbon through.
3 Put It All Together
Place some paper shred into the cup, drop the gift card in, and place the dome lid onto the cup. Place the straw in the cup, thread the ribbon through the punched hole in the tag, and tie the ribbon into bow around the straw.
And there you have it! An easy, thoughtful and fun thank you gift that is ideal for teachers, co-workers, or anyone whom you want to give a little thank you treat.
