Fig and Brie Crostini, Fall Appetizer Recipe, Fall Entertaining Recipe, Celebrating Everyday Life with Jennifer CarrollWhen hosting guests, it doesn't matter if it's impromptu or I've been planning for weeks, the goal is the same – for guests to feel welcomed and important, pampered even. But I don't want the preparations to take too big of a chunk out of my already over-full schedule. That's why I love coming up with easy recipes that will delight guests but are so simple to prepare that I can throw them together in a matter of minutes. It's easy entertaining in it's truest form!
Dalmatia Fig Spread, Fig and Brie Crostini, Fall Appetizer Recipe, Fall Entertaining Recipe, Celebrating Everyday Life with Jennifer CarrollA jar of Dalmatia Fig Spread caught my eye at the grocery store recently (it was near the cheese display case) and I just had to bring it home. I couldn't recall the last time I had had fig spread so I was intrigued. It sat on my counter for a while because I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with it. And then, today, it hit me – “I bet this would be delicious with brie, ham and some kind of toast or cracker”. Well, good news, I was right. It is delicious!! This recipe couldn't be simpler or tastier. It has the perfect blend of savory and sweet, creamy and crunchy.

This would be a no-bake recipe except that I like to heat the brie in the oven for a few minutes to soften it. For this recipe I don't want it melted, just warmed and softened slightly… about 5 minutes at 350°.
