My mom, daughter and I had a little shopping to do today and we stopped into our local Trader Joe’s and what greeted us just outside the door but a pumpkin patch wonderland!! Now, don’t get me wrong, I love orange pumpkins, I do! BUT, my most favorite pumpkins of all are these pastel beauties – the pale orange, white and best of all the pale turquoise blue – now these are pumpkins made for a fairytale!
I love the pale green striping in this white pumpkin – and it’s got a great stem! I plan to dry these stems this year so I can make some velvet pumpkins like we featured in the September/October 2013 issue of Celebrating Everyday Life with Jennifer Carroll!
This pale turquoise blue pumpkin is my most favorite of all!! I’m still debating where I want to put it in my house – definitely a place of prominence for this beauty!
They also had these beautiful artichokes in the store and I couldn’t resist picking up a pack of 4 of them. I’m so torn – part of me wants to decorate with them but part of me wants to cook them. Oh, decisions, decisions!
I’m hoping to incorporate them into my home decor soon and share that with you next week… wish me luck! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and whether you visit your local pumpkin patch or grocery store, I hope you find a festive pumpkin or two, too!
