I was not familiar with this quote by Winston Churchill before, so when I saw it, it really inspired me and I knew I had to share it with you!
Do you have a dream in your heart that you think about all the time? As you’ve probably guessed, I do – it’s to have a magazine that shares not only my creativity but also the creativity of others. One that creates a community for readers who are kindred spirits, that allows us to “escape to beauty” in the midst of our busy modern lives, but that also inspires and teaches you how to incorporate this beauty into your everyday life with relative ease.
For me, this goal is something that I did (and do) think about every-single-day. In fact, I think about it almost every moment of every day. I’m passionate about this dream. I tried for many years to ignore this dream in my heart or to just try to do a fraction of it to suit the circumstances of my life. This resulted in me feeling sad and frustrated for a long time. Having the courage to be all I was born to be caused me to make a lot of hard choices, ones that definitely made my life more challenging, not less. But IT WAS WORTH IT!
Now, I’d love to tell you that since deciding to pursue my dreams with my whole heart that I’ve had a perfectly smooth journey and every door has opened wide to me. Well, it hasn’t been that “easy” but even with the hardships, the uncertainty of knowing if I will succeed, it has still been worth it. God has turned every obstacle into a stepping stone, every disappointment into a learning opportunity and this is leading to opportunities that I had previously hardly dared to even hope of actually acheiving! And tomorrow I’m going to give you just such an example! So I hope you are encouraged TODAY to take steps to pursue your dreams, and sharpen your skills so that you are READY. Look for opportunities to begin NOW. Every step you take is a step closer to you fulfilling your destiny!
I’ll see you tomorrow with a big, super fun announcement!
