Valentine’s Day is coming quickly and since I’m single, it’s more about celebrating all of the love I am blessed with in my life – my sweet daughter, my wonderful family, my dear friends – rather than a romantic love. With this thought in mind, I welcome Valentine’s Day as a delightful opportunity to celebrate with these “loves,” and am always finding ways to make it festive yet simple (so that it doesn’t overwhelm me). With this goal in mind, today I’m sharing a pink & effervescent Valentine bar cart.
Having a drink station is always handy when entertaining. It gives guests a place to gather, a point of anchor in the space. No matter if you are serving a premixed signature cocktail in pitchers, or relying on favorite store bought bubbly, the self-serve drink bar is every hostess’ friend. Despite how prepared I try to be, inevitably there are a few last minute details to attend to and having a bar ready, be it plain or fancy, is always a help.
Bars don’t have to have be overloaded with options to be welcoming, the drink of your choice and a light nibble or two are all you need. To keep with my theme here I have chosen to serve pink lemonade, rose lemonade (one of my favorites), Sofia sparkling wine, and of course Pelegrino, the anchor of bar carts the whole world ’round.
I love different types of glasses and set out a variety to allow guests to have some fun with their sips. These pink sherbet cups remind me of champagne coupes (my fav!) – they feel so decadent and fancy to drink from!
The open shelves of this cart make pretty display opportunities as well as offer handy storage.
An extra tablecloth, a pillow for a guests chair if necessary… it’s nice to have these little comforts within arms reach – and they look lovely lingering around this vignette!
This little basket I painted with milk paint last year is still going strong. You can view the tutorial for it here.
Naturally, my daughter’s favorite part of this entire scene are these little marshmallow cupcakes (as she calls them). They are actually just marshmallows dipped in white chocolate with sprinkles on top – the simplest dessert ever but also one of the prettiest too. It literally takes less than five minutes to whip these out but they look (and taste) so yummy it’s hard to resist them!
These little cupcake holders were a find at HomeGoods a while back. I am 100% smitten with them!
And there you have it! A pretty in pink station that will have you party ready at a moment’s notice this Valentine’s Day! I hope you enjoyed this sparkling bit of femininity. Thank you so much for taking a few moments to join me as I shared this latest party inspiration.
