I can hardly believe that December is here… as mindful as I try to be each day, I still feel like the days are flying by way, way too fast! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving last week. In addition to many, many things to be thankful for I was/am also thankful to get my computer back from the repair shop! hooray! My mom, daughter and I did a little bit of shopping over the weekend but mostly we’ve been sewing, sewing, sewing and decorating, decorating, decorating trying to get ready for the Christmas Home Tour on Wednesday.
I’m exhausted but pleased to have it all pretty much done. Decorating this year would have been easy except that I decided that a couple of huge projects needed to be done first – that’s what turned this into a mad-dash to the finish line. Do you try to squeeze in a few DIY projects before decorating or having a big event? I seem to do it often… on the one hand it’s nice to get projects done that have been lingering but on the other hand it’s soooo tiring!
We’ve been working with a LOT of dropcloths. I want to dub my living room – or sitting room as my little one calls it – the dropcloth room. Just you wait and see… in the meantime here’s a sneakpeek at one particular dropcloth project that I’ll be sharing with you in the tour and a tutorial will be following along soon too! hmmm… what could it be?!?
While there is a lot of cream in my decor this year there are also a few pops of red and of course turquoise… I hope you will stop back in on Wednesday to see the whole tour! I’ll see you tomorrow though with a few inspiring words for this festive holiday season.
Oh! I almost forgot… as part of the fun for the Christmas Home Tour that I’m participating in there is also a chance for you to win lots of fun prizes! You can enter for your chance to win below:
Happy, happy Celebrating!
