Today I’m sharing a craft that has a sweet sentimentality to it which is perfect for Valentine’s Day, but is also lovely for any occasion, even “just because!” It is a yarn wrapped name art craft. I saw a project like this over on Creativebug where they made the word “love” which was of course charming for the holiday, but when my daughter saw it, she declared she must have her name, and in PINK. So that’s where we started. I think “love” would be adorable too, so I’d like to make that, but names are so personal, and now that we have this one under our creative belt, we want to make them for all of our friends.
As I mentioned, I was inspired to make this after seeing something similar over on Creativebug Valentine’s Day Art and Craft Classes (affiliate link). To say that I’m a fan of this site would be an understatement. It is chock full of inspiring ideas with great tutorials to walk you through making your own craft projects. It truly is a crafter’s paradise! Making a quilt is on my bucket list and I’m eyeing their quilting class. If you use the link above you can get a month free PLUS a free class – woo-hoo! Check it out and let me know what you think!
Smaller versions of this would make a charming gift tag. I think this would also be very sweet wall art. I’m sure more ideas will present themselves as we move forward making more for friends, in the meantime, do you have any suggestions? I’d love to hear them!
Thank you so much for reading!
