Valentine’s Day is less than two weeks away and with the kitchen renovation that I’m in the midst of, I have to admit to not doing too much decorating for this charming holiday. Typically I don’t get too carried away because we’re still kind-of coming off of the decor high of Christmas. Still, I enjoy having a few romantic touches here and there around the house. As part of the ongoing “Make Something From Nothing Challenge” that I’m participating in with An Extraordinary Day and Cupcakes & Crinoline I was inspired to get creative! I’m sharing something that was easy, oh so “sweet,” and literally takes just a few minutes to create. Yay! My Vintage Paper Heart Lampshade Mobile is made with vintage seed packet graphics, and is an easy Valentine Decor DIY craft to add a little Valentine Charm to your home.
- Old Lampshade with frame exposed
- Vintage Seed Packet Graphics* or paper of your choice
- Heart shaped paper punches
- Double-stick tape
*I purchased a set of vintage seed packet images on Creative Market for $6 (affiliate link) and formatted them onto Letter sized sheets of paper.
Use a piece of ribbon to suspend lampshade from ceiling. If you want to get really fancy you could wrap frame in colored ribbons, yarn, or fabric scraps. For this project, I preferred the raw frame to give this a bit of a farmhouse/industrial vibe plus, it was easier to not wrap the whole thing! 🙂
