I love paper straws and tend to buy them whenever I see cute patterns. I buy them wherever I can find them. I’ve bought them online, in boutiques, and I’ve even noticed that Target has been getting lots of really cute ones lately (check their party aisle). While I think they are darling on their own, I have to admit that sometimes, for a bit of extra fun, Emma and I like to embellish them even more! Behold our paper straw bouquet…
These are so easy to make and the process keeps my daughter entertained for a long time with all the possible combinations.
I pulled out a variety of craft supplies from my stash for us to use. I guess it helps sometimes to be a craft hoarder 🙂 We used stickers, tags, paper buttons, rhinestones, basically anything that was feminine and cute.
I love watching my daughter work on crafts like this, she can be very precise and extremely opinionated about how her designs turn out. It’s pretty cute to see her determination and creativity! To make them, you just stick on whatever items you want to use. Double stick tape or craft glue will help you with any non-sticky decor items. Note, if you want to use this for a drink bottle straw, keep your decorations high on the straw so it doesn’t become too wide to sit in the container and prevent it from letting you drink all of the drink.
It’s a very simple craft that has lots of possible variations for themes plus, they make a unique craft gift when you just need a little something sweet.
