Bubbly drinks are fun any time of year but they are especially delightful in the heat of summer, don’t you agree? The tickle of bubbles – either from champagne or sparkling water – seem to release little bursts of invigorating hope when it is so hot I hardly know if I can carry on. Do you have those days too? If so, then you are going to love this simple summer drink – my Pomegranate Spritzer.
It’s so easy, I can hardly call it a recipe really.
Fill a glass 1/3 full with Pomegranate juice.
Pour in sparkling water or sparkling wine in the remaining 2/3 of the glass.
Garnish with a lime and enjoy! Too easy, right?! But in the heat of summer, simple is even more important to me. I love that I’m getting all the antioxidants and vitamins of the pomegranate juice while sipping something that feels fancy – it’s a win-win all the way around.
This is not a sponsored post but I feel like I want to dedicate it to Trader Joe’s… The other day I was in there and I found all the lovely treats I’m sharing here with you! It all began with these peonies. There soft pink color got me in the mood to create a soft, romantic “stolen moment” to sit and savor something lovely.
My little one and I were walking down the frozen food aisle and I noticed a box of French macarons. I stopped in my tracks and did a double take, I forgot they sold these here! You know I love making them, and they aren’t too difficult to make (check out my recipe for Pink Lemonade Macarons here!) but I love to have things like this on hand for emergencies. You know, when unexpected guests stop in or (the far more common problem) “Mommy just needs a moment!” A little lovely nibble like this can help in so many situations, right?!
And to be able to create a moment for ourselves like this in under 5 minutes – yes, please!!
Cheers! To stolen moments of refreshment and sweet bites. I hope you feel inspired to celebrate some pink beauty in your day today.
