It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here! I made “baby steps” on my to-do list today, I hope to do a bit more tomorrow. I’m trying to not overdo it after being sick – which is hard for me because I’m a jump in and go kinda gal! I did spend a little bit of time going over my Christmas gift list – I still have some shopping to do. How about you? Are you done yet?
One thing that’s for certain is that with all the holiday parties going on you almost can’t have too many hostess gifts on hand. Because a pineapple is the symbol of hospitality, I’m sort’ve partial to great grab and go items sporting this classic icon. I found these beautiful pineapple candlesticks and matchbooks at Zestivities in Nelson County. Paired with gold candles from Caspari they make a very elegant presentation, don’t you think?
Since I love hospitality and Christmas, how can I resist this Christmas quote by Washington Irving?
“Christmas! Tis the season for kindling the fire of hospitality in the hall, the genial fire of charity in the heart.”
