Yesterday was the 2011 Junior League Mistletoe Market at the Charlottesville Omni Hotel. Above are some highlights from my booth. Markets like these are fun but also lots and lots of work… I’m exhausted today! All that loading and unloading can wear a girl out! It was also the first day that I’ve been away from my little girl for several hours – that part was not fun. But she and I were thrilled to see eachother that evening and that was super fun! So maybe it all evens out…?
It was so gratifying to see folks get excited about my designs – as an artist who doesn’t love that? It was also wonderful to connect with some favorite vendors like Meg Runion who makes gorgeous frames which you can see here, Kelly Trout of OneCreativeCookie – the most gorgeous & tasty treats – check her out here, and Lucinda Taylor and her daughter from Classic Baby – makers of the most delightful children’s clothes! – you can admire their handiwork here. Lucinda and her daughter also took home one of my one-of-a-kind wreaths! yay!
Special thanks go to Kaitlyn Hoy, Camilyn Leone and the entire Junior League Committee who pulled together this fun shopping event! If you didn’t make it out this year keep an eye out for next year’s market – it’s a wonderful kick-off to the holiday season! You can see more fun pics from the show on their facebook page here.
Also, a GIANT thank you to Stephanie for helping me out at the show – she is such a trouper!! And my friends Pat & Sherry of Pat’s Floral Designs for the use of some of their tables & trays! You ladies are the best!!!
