Back to school season is here and I’m starting to get in that Fall mood. I’m beginning to add a few touches of Fall around the house, and today I’m sharing How to Make an Easy Blue And White Fall Door Decor! I wasn’t sure what else to call it, it’s not really a wreath… but it does have flowers, so I left it at Fall Door Decor.
I am planning to play with a few different fall color schemes this year. And to begin, I wanted to put a fall spin on my favorite: Blue & White. I think that Blue & White Fall Decor is pretty spectacular. For this project, I chose to avoid a formal feeling because this Fall Door Decor is in my sunroom. I like a casual country approach to Blue & White in here.
How to Make an Easy Blue And White Fall Door Decor
On a recent trip to the craft store, I spotted these lovely blue flowers, and that was where it all began. I knew I had this blue gingham ribbon at home, and that together they would be a happy duo. At that point, I wasn’t exactly sure what I would do with the blue flowers, but then I decided they would be cute hanging on the door somehow. Ideas began to swirl through my head… a wreath? Hmmm. Maybe… but then I spotted this little galvanized bucket and eureka! I knew it was just what I needed to keep the look casual.
I am forever breaking apart pre-made bouquet of both real and faux flowers!
Then I gently began placing them in the tin bucket. Now, if you were going to use this hanging on the outside of your door, I would recommend you use a floral foam to anchor the stems. Since mine is inside, I simply tucked them in, and they happily stayed put.
If you’re having trouble getting your stems to stay put – and this is for indoor use – you could try these two ideas:
- Ball up some plastic shopping bags and use them as “filler” inside the bucket.
- For extra security, you could tape a few pieces of painters tape across the bucket top to make a grid to help hold the flowers in place.
Mine stayed in place without these ideas, but knowing how persnickety flowers (both real and faux!) can be, I always like to share a few ideas with you!
I used two of the blue flower arrangements and a few individual elements from a separate bouquet for this Blue And White Fall Door Decor.
This door hanger adds the perfect sweet touch in here. It has a charm and simplicity, and best of all, you see how easy it was to make!
Have you started decorating yet for Fall? You don’t see a lot of Blue and White for fall, but I always enjoy it. I did a bit of Blue & White Fall Decor on my patio last year.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this Blue & White Fall Door Decor and feel inspired to make your own version!
Thank you for reading along, I love sharing these ideas with you!
