My daughter and I visited one of our local apple orchards yesterday and were delighted by the sight of row upon row of apple trees whose branches were heavy with fruit. My little one excitedly ran from tree to tree, twisting and pulling apples and loading up our little red wagon. When we got home with our bounty I knew two things: One, that I would be baking some kind of apple treat quite soon and Two, that I would find an apple quote so I could share these beauties with you before I tuck them into a pie crust or something similar…
As I searched online I found this quote and loved the symbolism of it, I hope you enjoy it too:
“Anyone can count the seeds in an apple, but only God can count the number of apples in a seed.”
This quote inspires me that only God knows our potential and the promise of our future. We shouldn’t look at our circumstances, our family situation, the words of others, etc… to try to understand our self-worth or our potential. We have seeds of greatness inside of us and if we choose to believe that, who knows what doors God will open up. I encourage to believe that like an apple seed, you have countless opportunities ahead – your future is brighter than your past, so step into it with boldness!
Oh, before I go, do you want a little apple recipe inspiration? Then be sure to check out the September/October issue of Celebrating Everyday Life with Jennifer Carroll. I have some tasty treats in there that are perfect for making the most of the season’s bounty!
