Repurposed & Recycled DIY Project Link Party

Do you dream of seeing your projects on the page of a magazine? Well then, today just might be your lucky day! We are looking for some great summer oriented DIY projects to feature in the May/June 2013 issue of Celebrating Everyday Life magazine. If you’ve got a fun and functional DIY project that transforms an ordinary object into something extraordinary – we want to see it!

For this first submission party there are no boundaries – your project can be wall art or furniture, for home or garden, for the master bedroom or the kitchen! Whatever you’ve got that you think will be the next “big thing” is what we’re hoping you’ll share.

Link up between January 11th through 20th!

Submission party will close on January 20th at midnight EST. Winner will be announced on January 25th.

:: SUBMISSION TIPS ::

  1. Good photos are important so take the best ones you can with the best light possible. (Natural light is always best!)
  2. Share your most creative ideas, a new twist can make a familiar idea the latest trend, so be bold!
  3. Because this issue is for early summer – be colorful and seasonal.
  4. Complete step-by-step instructions are important so that readers can make it too!
  5. Follow the party rules {below}

:: SUBMISSION RULES ::

  1. Please be sure your project is relevant to the theme.
  2. You may link up multiple projects but please don’t link the same project more than once.
  3. Your submission project must be your own but the photo does not have to be taken by you.
  4. Please link-back to this party in your post.
  5. This isn’t a rule, but please consider following the blog so you stay abreast of all the fun!
  6. If your submission doesn’t follow any of the above criteria, it will be removed.
  7. By linking up you give Celebrating Everyday Life permission to feature your project on all of our social media outlets including but not limited to the blog, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and the magazine.
  8. If you are selected as the winner please note that we will need high-resolution copies of the images (minimum 8″ x 10″; 300 dpi)
  9. Celebrating Everyday Life reserves the right to adjust, modify or change the rules at any time without prior notification.

Good Luck and please spread the word about this party by sharing on your Facebook & Pinterest boards! I can’t wait to see your projects!!

Happy Celebrating!

    Hi Jennifer, I linked up an old post. The photos are not great, but our grill has gotten a lot of attention. It’s still sitting in our flower bed, but sadly, doesn’t have any pretty flowers in it at the time!

      > I clicked the Pinterest button and it came up blank…and maybe that’s why all it said was “get featured” and no blog name either. You might want to check into this Jennifer.

    Thanks for the opportunity Jennifer! I linked up several spring/summer type recycled and repurposed projects…a raised garden bed, a family est. porch sign, and a farmer’s market basket. I don’t know if my photos will work??? No worries if not. I’m still working on improving my photographing skills! Can’t wait to see your next issue. :)

    [...]   With a new year upon us, I’m really feeling the itch to get more organized.  Before starting this blog, I was the queen of organization.  I try to keep up now, but it seems like I am constantly throwing things around, or starting one project, then something else pops in my head and I run off and start that.   Well, no more!  I am getting myself organized, starting with my desk.  I really need a place to pin notes and appointment reminders, plus a few pics of my kiddos.  I have seen some really cute bulletin boards, but since I found some old windows this summer, I have been dying to turn it into a unique cork board.  I saved up some wine corks, and had a friend who owns a restaurant save theirs as well, and as of yesterday, I finally had enough to turn my old window into a wine cork board!   During the Summer, I took a trip to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore…what an amazing place!  It’s a store full of used furniture, light fixtures, shutters, doors, windows…and lots more.     I was there looking for an old shutter.  I found one for $3 and it was the perfect addition to my Aqua and White Breakfast Nook.  Then, I saw these amazing old windows.  I had no idea what I would use them for, but at $2 each, I had to grab some up.  I used one to make a Faux Stained Glass Window, but had two left.     I painted the wood white before adhering the corks, that way you can mess up and it won’t even matter!   I started with one pane.  I laid the corks down in a pattern and counted to see how many I would need for the other panes.  Each pain required 54 wine corks…shewwww, that’s a lot of wine!  I hot glued each cork into place.     Then I found my box of tacks that I picked up at The Dollar Tree and hot glued them onto the backs of some old buttons.  I mean, with a cork board this cute, you can’t just throw some lame tacks on it, right?   So, what do you think?  Cute, right?   I placed my new wine cork board on the back of my Beachy Blue Desk Painted With Home-made Chalk Paint.  I love the look!  Now, time to move on to organizing the rest of my house…ugh!   So…are you itching to get more organized?  Leave a comment telling me what you would like to see next, and maybe we can get organized together!   For more cleaning and organizing tips, click pic below…   Or maybe some more wine cork projects?     Happy New Year!   Sharing at http://celebratingeverydaylife.com/get-featured-recycled-repurposed-diy-project-link-party/ [...]
