At long last, here is the table that I’ve been hinting at… it’s the ‘Secret Garden’ table from the Wonder Photography workshop at Belle Haven. This table was created by Pat & Sherry of Southern Blooms and Meghan Streit of Shindig Events and it is – in a word – breathtaking to me! Being an avid reader who especially loves a good fairy tale with a happy ending this table is the epitome of Fairytales and Happy Endings!
This scene was set on a lovely graveled terrace nestled between the main house and the darling guest cottage I shared in the part 2 post. I love the cafe lights strung over the table – you know it would be enchanting at night! These lights were provided by Blue Ridge Light Forms.
I love the moss “runner” on the table and the mix of colored glass bottles, terracotta pots and lanterns… even the table itself is exquisite -
This carved stone table base is a work of art in it’s own right! I love the aged patina that it has – and all the little chips and varied colors make me love it more, not less! Wouldn’t it be amazing to have a table like this? And I love that it has a planked wood top rather than glass – it just feels ancient!
Back up to the tabletop… I love the blackberries and cherries in the lilac colored champagne. Simply divine! And how alluring is the open jar of honey? Don’t you want to just dip right into it? I know that Winnie the Pooh would be in heaven at this table!
Here’s a slightly closer look at the tablescape. Don’t you love the terracotta pot laying on it’s side? It’s meant to be that way. And yes, those are mushrooms (!) in the lantern terrariums! {Insert happy squeal!} There are so many delightful details I could sit and stare at this table for hours and not get bored!
Here’s a quick view of the table facing the house. When I stepped out that door onto the porch and saw the table I literally squealed with delight! (Don’t you love that porch by the way? The trim detailing is so pretty!)
I also love the brick pavers on the ground creating a lattice pattern to hold in the gravel. The interior designer in me can’t help but notice that!
You can also see a pheasant feather tucked into the terrarium with the orchids, ferns and mushrooms!
I wish I could tell you the names of all these flowers – sadly I can’t. But aren’t they pretty just the same?
This is the bouquet Pat & Sherry created to compliment the tablescape. Isn’t it gorgeous? Again, I can’t name all the flowers… I do spot roses, clematis, lamb’s ear, and a variety of hydrangea but there are host of other blooms that I can’t begin to guess! And don’t you just love that ribbon? Being the complete ribbon addict that I am I can’t help but sigh over these little beauties! Details like that make all the difference to me!
Sitting just adjacent to the table was this welcoming tray of champagne popsicle cocktails – or maybe their meant for dessert? No matter when you serve these they will surely delight your “grown-up” guests! Totally can’t wait to play with this idea – stay tuned for a post on that coming soon!
Adjacent to the table tucked under a tree was this beautiful woodland bar. I love the bar cart sourced by Meghan Streit! I totally want one!
Aren’t aren’t these cut glass decanters the limit! I feel a new obsession coming on. I really, really want some… Even if I just fill them with colored water!
Then, as if by magic, the decanters were whisked away and the cart became a sangria bar!
The floating flowers were the perfect “finishing touch” to these lovely jars! Thank you again to Jen Fariello, Robert Radifera, Katie Stoops, Southern Blooms, Shindig Events and Belle Haven for creating this magical event!
Phew! Well, I hope you enjoyed this Secret Garden table and that you are as inspired as I was! Do you have a favorite part? Is there a particular book that you think of when you see this table? Let’s chat about it in the comments section. I’d love to hear from you!
’til then….
Happy Celebrating!
