Today our country honors Martin Luther King, Jr., a man who dared to dream a dream and pursue it relentlessly. And his dream forever changed our nation. His dream made a difference. He saw a world where we were all equal and all free and he knew he must not let that dream go – despite the odds and opposition, he had to continue marching, literally, forward.
We all have a dream inside our hearts. Do you know what yours is? Sometimes our everyday life can begin to crowd out our dreams, cause us to forget who we are and what really matters to us. I encourage you to take a moment today – while we are celebrating a man who lived and died for his dream – to reconnect with your dream because your dream is a core part of who you really are. You matter. You are important. You have a lot to share with the world. Like the saying in the photo above, “Nobody sees the world quite like you do”. You have a perspective to share and I dearly hope you are taking a step, big or small, every single day towards that dream.
