Looking for ways to make Easter fun for the kiddos but still control the sugar overload? If yes, this Easy Colorful Kids Easter Table that’s Candy Free is for you! It’s full of pretty and bright details that are simple to pull together, and don’t involve candy. It’s part Peter Rabbit Tea Party, part whimsical picnic, and completely jolly!
Easter is busy for us, and we love it! I’m excited to be singing at three Easter services at our church celebrating Christ’s resurrection. My daughter is excited about that too but since she is six, she’s also really excited about the many Easter egg hunts and candy that come along with this holiday. She’s naturally very energetic so I try to limit the amount of sugar that gets eaten and love to look for fun but not food-focused decorations to make things still feel special.
My daughter loves setting up a table for tea parties with her stuffed animal friends at playtime, so I took that idea and ran with it for this table. Here, the stuffed friends greet the kiddos and get them excited, and won’t complain when they get swept aside for the children to sit and eat.
Another thing I love about this table is its simplicity. The most intricate element is the paper flowers and they are actually quite easy to make and can be done in advance – you can even get the kids to help make them!
I used two types of paper flowers from Luna Bazaar here. The Medium Teal Green 10 Inch Tissue Paper Flower and the Medium Marigold Yellow 10 Inch Tissue Paper Flower (affiliate links). They are really budget friendly (less than $3 each!) and there is a video you can watch on how to make them that is super simple. I know you’ll love them!
On the table, I used Floral Fiesta plates from Talking Tables (affiliate link). I love the multi-colors and free-form style of this design. It lends itself to many themes.
On the plate, I placed a cupcake pedestal, atop that I set a ruffled cupcake baking cup and filled that with a rainbow assortment of petite felt balls! I love these little felt beads, I used them to make these adorable felt acorns last fall!
A few fun party hats add to the festive mood, and before you know it you’ve created a Colorful Kids Easter Table – that’s Candy Free!
Adding elements like this Beatrix Potter tea set are definitely sweet details but not necessary. Consider it a fun bonus! This set was given to my daughter on her first Christmas by my sister, it’s something we treasure!
Here’s a list again of the supplies I used to set this table. Please note this post contains affiliate links. If you purchase any of these items your price won’t change but you will help to contribute to supporting this site.
