Welcome to my dream house that happens to belong to my bloggy friend Karianne of Thistlewood Farm! Seriously, I’m so in love with her house I dream of my home looking as pulled together and perfectly appointed as hers one day! But it’s not only her house – she is also the best story teller I’ve ever met. Really. She’s witty, she’s bold, and we both love those sappy Hallmark movies! What more could I ask for? So I’m thrilled to give you a peek into her gorgeous abode.
Above is her dining room. Gorgeous columns, high ceilings, soothing color scheme, classic art work, crystal chandelier, stellar curtains… it’s all delightful. But one of my favorite elements of this room is her amazing $22 crown moulding project over the windows. I’m so working on a plan to upgrade the moulding in my living room windows after seeing this transformation!
This is her front entry – again – such soothing colors, lots of textures and yummy details! Especially those pieces of crown moulding that are on her wall that she found – wait for it – for free on the side of the road! Um, apparently I’m totally driving down the wrong road!
This is her farmhouse kitchen – all of the creamy tones make me want to clear out my whole house and begin again! Do you notice the “circa 1918” on the island counter top? What a great detail!
My home right now is too small for a butler’s pantry but if I had one, this would be its role model! You’ve got to see the before of this room to appreciate its awesomeness even more! Isn’t that milk glass dreamy? This looks like something right out of the Pottery Barn catalog – doesn’t it?!
The library is one of my favorite spots in her home. Charm. That’s what this spot is brimming with. Heaps and heaps of charm. I have a soft spot for bunnies and that bunny terrarium is just too cute. And you know how much I love burlap. So it goes without saying that those bows are just perfect to me and amazingly they don’t scream Christmas – it totally says Spring! Awesome!
This is the master bedroom – and how grand is it, especially with the fireplace!? This is positively one of the most romantic bedrooms I’ve ever seen! And how about those chairs with the ottoman? That woodwork is like something out of a fairytale…
This is her guest bedroom that I lovingly refer to as “my room” in my own head. I dream of one day making a pilgrimage to her home and getting to stay here! Honestly – do you see that shutter wall?! Have you ever seen anything as cool? She could charge admission to this room and it would totally be worth it!
This back porch is another fantastic space – and notice every delightful detail – the rug, the basket with the color coordinated books, the complimentary fabrics… it all matches in that delightfully casual non matchy-matchy way! Oh what an eye Karianne has!
I hope you will hop over and visit Karianne and tell her hello for me… There are even more gorgeous rooms that you simply must see! I totally want to get busy planning a road trip to her farm and hopefully find some of those amazing roadside finds along the way!
