Today we are taking a little trip to the Caribbean to have a lovely visit with my blogging pal Karah of The Space Between. {I know, I had you at Caribbean, right?!} Her super-awesome blog is filled with tons and tons of cool (and totally do-able!) DIY projects – several featuring the easy breezy island style of her home in Curacao.¬† I met Karah at the Haven conference in Atlanta earlier this year and we totally hit it off! She’s an utter delight and I love her¬†enthusiastic can-do spirit!

Here are some of my favorite projects that she’s shared on her blog:

Dog Silhouette Art Canvas

First is this absolutely ADORABLE doggie silhouette art project and brace yourself – she made it for $2. Yes, TWO DOLLARS! I mean, my goodness, that is spectacularly cool! I’m getting ready to do some small silhouette projects around here so I’m particularly excited about this one!

palm frond pumpkin project

‘Tis the season for pumpkins and I am a little bit obsessed with her Palm Frond Pumpkin craft! I mean, how adorable is this?! And oh yeah, since she found this palm frond laying in her neighbor’s yard, it is a $0 DIY project. Yep, totally free. zip. nada.¬† Sadly none of my neighbors happen to have any palm fronds lying around but I have some tall ornamental grasses in my back garden that I’m eyeing pretty seriously :-)

book page covered picture frames

I’m a total bibliophile – truly, my idea of a perfect date would be to drag my husband to the local Barnes & Noble and get a coffee and browse the stacks! I love, love, love books! So clearly it wasn’t hard for me to get excited about this book page covered frame project! I especially love the little accents like the random #14 – cute detail!

eat drink be married trayThis tray makeover is a total showstopper for me also! I’m a BIG Annie Sloan Chalk Paint fan. I have already gone through a couple of tins of Provence and Old White so when I saw this tray in those colors (plus Duck Egg) I was like “stop the presses!”. This tray with it’s little slogan at the bottom “Eat. Drink. Be Married.” is just so cute! And think of the possibilities of quotes you could use. With the holidays coming I could totally see this being a super DIY gift, couldn’t you?!!

be kind sign

She also has a very cool 12 Days of Kindness blogging project which I’m hoping to jump into very soon. It’s very much a “pay-it-forward” type of thing – which I totally love and that’s just the kind of delightful gal that Karah is!

I hope you’ll pop over to Karah’s blog and check out the many, many, many more fab projects and gorgeous island photos that she shares. And be be sure to say “hello” for me!

See you tomorrow!

Happy Celebrating!
