restore interiors blog logoI’m updating the design of my blog over the next several days and you’ll notice some changes. I know change can be hard sometimes but I ask you to bear with me as we work out the kinks. I’m excited to be implementing these upgrades that will help my blog to be more profitable which will not only provide an income for my daughter and I but also help me to create even more fun projects to share with you!

Speaking of new … welcome to my new {Blogs I Love} column. Blogging is rewarding on so many levels and one of my favorite benefits is getting to meet awesome women who share my interests and passions. I’m excited to begin introducing you to these gals in this weekly column. Every Thursday we’ll visit a blog I {heart} and I’ll tell you a little bit about why I love them. I hope you will like these virtual field trips and will pop in and tell my blog pals hello and that you are visiting from my site. Ready to begin? Grab a cup of coffee or tea and let’s go!

Say hello to my friend Kelli’s fabulous blog: Restore Interiors. I was first introduced to Kelli via Miss Mustard Seed. (Thanks Marian for linking us up!) Kelli and I exchanged a few emails but then we ended up meeting in person at the Haven Conference in Atlanta and instantly bonded!  Not only does Kelli have great style – as you can see from these thumbnails of her fab projects above – she’s also a very talented painter who has a heart for teaching and helping others. She is a more seasoned blogger than me, so I sat at dinner with her on our first night and peppered her with dozens of questions about blogging! Not only did she answer every question she also offered lots of suggestions to help me grow my blog. Such a help!!

As you know from this post I’ve become obsessed with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint (I’m working on a new project that I hope to share soon!) and Kelli is a furniture makeover queen! How about this dresser makeover?

Restore Interiors Dresser Makeover Group

This dresser was a “rescue” off of Craigslist. Seriously. I look at craigslist all the time and I never have this kind of luck! It is such a sweet shape, those pulls are darling and the finish she created is perfectly distressed. Kelli describes in detail how she achieved this look and I can’t wait to try it! I hope you’ll visit Kelli’s blog and discover for yourself what makes her such a treasure!

I’ll see you tomorrow with more 4th of July inspiration and that paper medallion tutorial I mentioned.

’til then…

Happy Celebrating!
