I am completely crushing on this foyer project by the oh-so-talented Carmel of Our Fifth House – so it’s with pleasure that I share her blog with you today! I love the black painted floor, hand rail and stair treds in her foyer (shown above)!! I TOTALLY want to do this to my staircase!! But I also love the gold chair makeover and the whimsical mix of chalkboard and classic letters on the wall. Dee-lightful!
Clearly the world is catching on to Carmel’s awesome style and can-do DIY spirit because she just had a curator collection featured on Joss & Main – a totally inspiring online pop-up shop. I’m so addicted to shops like these!
Her blog is brimming with lots of great projects and ideas like these completely adorable wicker window boxes turned chic bathroom storage. Love it and completely want to do this in my half bath!!
I’m also impressed with her bold use of color – as seen in her bedroom in this DIY art project post. It encourages me to step out a bit more… I’m thinking of painting my bathroom chocolate but haven’t committed to doing it yet. Seeing rooms like this make me feel brave!
Being the Union Jack fanatic that I am, I was also smitten with this DIY Pegboard Headboard project. Cute!
This is just the tip of the iceberg of all the awesome creativity that is happening over at Our Fifth House blog. There are stenciling projects, kitchen remodeling ideas, tips on being organized, and an endless sea of inspiration on crafts and remodeling projects. I hope you’ll hop on over there and visit with Carmel. Please tell her I sent you!
