Please say hello to my awesome lemonade making blog pal Carrie of Making Lemonade! I love her tag line “When life hands you lemons, throw them back!” A perfect spin on the old saying!! I met Carrie at the momentous Haven blog conference and just loved her!! And love her blog even more! She is my go-to spot for all things practical and real (but with style!) in running a home with little ones under foot.
Her sequined monogrammed pumpkins were just recently featured on Better Homes & Gardens website (YAY!!) – check it out here. (See I told you she was stylish!) I totally want to make one of these – add this to my looong line of Fall projects – I totally think I’m working on 2014 over here!! 😀
Her recent post on cleaning with vinegar was a real eye-opener for me! I have to say I’ve always been very skeptical about how clean you can really get things with alternatives like vinegar but now I can’t wait to try these ideas! My wallet (not to mention the planet!) will certainly thank me!
She’s running a super-fun giveaway with the folks at Chef Boyardee which you can enter here. Hello pizza night! I used to have a pizza night every Friday but somehow just fell out of the habit but now I’m feeling inspired to start it up again! I soooo want a chef hat! 🙂 She’s also involved in the totally adorable and mom-friendly e-book The Little Chef’s project which you can read here.
Very cool tips on making your own Halloween costumes like this little Darth Vader – hint it involves a toilet plunger!! – being a big Star Wars fan, I have to say I have a soft spot for this little guy! My little one is really lucky that I’m not packing her into one of these Darth Vader costumes 😉 Having seen this, I’m soooo tempted! (Awful, aren’t I?!)
I love the “oh-no!” face on this hanging Jack-o-Lantern!! This is such an easy tutorial and a perfect knock-off of the Pottery Barn version. Check it out here.
I could go on and on about the awesome posts and projects of Carrie’s but the best way for you to enjoy it all is to pop on over to her blog for a visit and please be sure to tell her “hi” for me!
