Please say hello to my friend Lucy of the beautiful blog Craftberry Bush! Lucy is such an incredible artist and crafter and I’m just thrilled to have her as a contributor to Celebrating Everyday Life magazine!! For example, how gorgeous are these crepe paper flowers?!! I can hardly believe that they aren’t real. They look so delicate and sweet, as if they were just plucked from the garden! Lucy shares a tutorial so we can all attempt to make our own. I say attempt because I’m not sure I could craft something so perfect, but I’m game to try!!
I’m not an artist so I’m always incredibly awed by those who can draw and paint. Lucy regularly allows us a peek into her sketchbook – which I think is just so cool!! – these darling rosebuds are a recent addition to her collection. Aren’t they charming?!
These ‘Apple of My Eye’ watercolor tags are another sweet project which would be so adorable for Valentine’s Day gifting! I’m sooooo going to buy some watercolor paint!! Those delicate rosebuds might be out of my league but I feel confident I could tackle these tags! yay!!
I was really inspired by her Valentine’s Day mantel – you know how much I love a good mantel! – but what made this post even more special was her outtakes!! Don’t miss them – while I adore the final version I have to say her outtakes are lovely and so clever! I love how creamy it all is – sighhhhhh! so serene and relaxing!
I have a bunch of radishes and am looking forward to giving this Radish Edaname Spinach Salad with Creamy Avocado Dill Dressing a go. I love radishes and don’t know why I don’t buy them more often?! Are you like that with certain veggies too?
I almost expect to see the shimmer of a fairy’s wing hiding behind one of these magical mini faux terrariums! They are positively enchanting, aren’t they? I know my daughter would love these so I’m hoping to make them with her one day!!
But, I think my favorite discovery of all about Lucy was to see that we made the same exact cakes in the same exact month for a party last February without knowing it! I hadn’t even discovered her amazing blog at that time! This was the cake her Mami made for her nieces birthday (above) and this is the cake my mom and I made for my daughter (below). Naturally I like Lucy’s cake better – my colors weren’t different enough and I did them in a reverse order… but isn’t that so funny?! See, we are such kindred spirits!!! 🙂
I hope you will hop over to Craftberry Bush and say hello to Lucy! I know you will adore her, just as I do!
