The neighborhood where I live has a community garden and the super kind tenders of this also grow a pumpkin patch! Alas, since I am gardening challenged, I’m not a toiler in this soil but I do love the fruits of their labors!! Yesterday we had the neighborhood pumpkin picking so my little one and I toddled on over and got a delightful batch of little pumpkins. They had some huge ones (I couldn’t help but think of Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin while we waded through the vines) but I was not about to try and lug a big pumpkin home while carrying a toddler! Instead, we settled quite happily on a couple of small pumpkins for our home.
I haven’t decided if I’ll use these to create a table centerpiece, dress up my mantel or the front porch…. decisions, decisions! Either way, you know I’ll be sure to share the project with you!
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this quote from Henry David Thoreau and please stop in tomorrow to read the Ruffled Burlap Tablecloth (as seen in the Ralph Lauren inspired dinner post) tutorial!
