It’s September and before I begin rolling out all the pumpkins (there will be plenty of time for that later!) I want to take a little bit of time to celebrate another beloved Fall fruit – APPLES – at this Apple Harvest Table! Red, yellow, green or gold, there are so many delicious varieties and they provide endless inspiration to me from food to decor, I’m definitely in love with these little guys. Today I’m sharing a Fall tablescape that is ripe with the warm and welcoming tones of the season. I found this Ralph Lauren tablecloth at HomeGoods and instantly felt inspired to create this scene for us to enjoy here on the blog! It’s muted but still really warm, perfect for so many of the upcoming Fall gatherings.
Here a pair of apples with a few leaves are nestled into a vintage silver bowl. It’s utterly simple and yet it looks chic and pretty.
Just apples. And, can you keep a secret? These are not real apples! They are faux -but they look so good, don’t you think?!
They sold matching napkins to the linen (which I bought, but we’ll use those for another project – stay tuned!) but it was getting a little too matchy-matchy for me. The paisley napkins are also by Ralph Lauren and the tones are a perfect match for the cloth and help to create depth at the table.
The placesetting is a wide mix of elements – here we go:
The wooden charger is from Michaels Craft Store – I cannot tell you how much IN LOVE I am with these guys. You’ll be seeing them again and again in upcoming tablescapes!
The red scalloped dinner plate was from Walmart several years ago. I don’t know if they still have it but I really like the Pioneer Woman’s set of red dishes and think it has a very similar “vibe”.
Next is one of my vintage brown transferware plates – I can never seem to resist an opportunity to pull them out in the fall.
Gold flatware ties in so beautifully with the colors of the table cloth but my favorite element here are these delicate gold leaf spoons – sigh – I am sooo in love with these little charmers. Another HomeGoods find, they came in a set of 4.
You can see a little more of the beautiful fabric pattern here. It reminds me of another fabric that I have in my guest room (which I promise, I will be sharing very, very soon)! It has an English Country feel that is irresistible to me!
Family glassware – love the “C” – paired with a deeply engraved tumbler add personality and history but don’t compete with the other elements at the table.
