Hello my dear friends! I have arrived at my home-away-from-home, a darling little cottage I have rented in Hathersage, England. After all the rigors of traveling I cannot begin to tell you what an oasis this little spot was (and is!) for me. I promise to take lots of photos and share them. Unfortunately I am having internet problems and have not been able to upload and share my proper photos yet but I’m snapping away constantly… so photos will come soon! In the meantime, here are two photos I quickly snapped with my iPhone. The one above is the absolutely delightful garden of my cottage… I am enjoying it so much, I hardly have the words to share what a treat this is! I am able to enjoy it even more because my cottage has a dutch door(!!!!), my absolutely most favorite type of door EVER! So, I keep the top of the door open while I am here so that I can drink in all the loveliness of this small garden!
This last photo is another iPhone shot. It is a quick peek at the village that I am staying in, it is called ‘Hathersage’ – don’t you just love that name?! I do!! It is tucked into the “Peak District” here in Derbyshire and I am just pinching myself that I am here. I didn’t realize it would be as sweet as it is! The views, buildings and people are ALL wonderful!
Sadly, that’s all I have to share for the moment but new photos will be coming along soon. Hopefully we will get the internet issues all sorted out and I’ll have more time to gather photos and my thoughts – to share with you. Fingers crossed!
