Posted on October 25,2012 by Jennifer

Making Lemonade Blog LogoPlease say hello to my awesome lemonade making blog pal Carrie of Making Lemonade! I love her tag line “When life hands you lemons, throw them back!” A perfect spin on the old saying!! I met Carrie at the momentous Haven blog conference and just loved her!! And love her blog even more! She is my go-to spot for all things practical and real (but with style!) in running a home with little ones under foot.

Posted on October 24,2012 by Jennifer

Trick or Treat Display, Decorating for HalloweenIt’s getting to be that time of the year when we all start thinking about costumes and of course Halloween treats! I’m a vintage gal through and through when it comes to Decorating for Halloween. I don’t go in for scary at all, I’m all about the sweet! And that’s my inspiration for this fun and festive Trick or Treat Buffet.

Today I’m excited to share my DIY pumpkin place card holder makeover and paper scroll place card tutorials with you! I think that unusual place cards can really take a table from so-so to so fabulous! Here’s how I made-over this fun and simple detail that is sure to capture your guests attention.

These wire pumpkins {as seen in my Cinderella Inspired Elegant Halloween Party post} began their life dressed in a perfect Fall outfit – chocolate brown with a yellow leaf – as you see in the “before” photo below.

{Blogs I Love} The Space Between

Posted on October 18,2012 by Jennifer

Today we are taking a little trip to the Caribbean to have a lovely visit with my blogging pal Karah of The Space Between. {I know, I had you at Caribbean, right?!} Her super-awesome blog is filled with tons and tons of cool (and totally do-able!) DIY projects – several featuring the easy breezy island style of her home in Curacao.  I met Karah at the Haven conference in Atlanta earlier this year and we totally hit it off! She’s an utter delight and I love her enthusiastic can-do spirit!
