At long last! I have found a moment to begin rounding up some of the photos from Ireland and am so excited to share them with you! I loved Ireland very much but I definitely had 2 favorite places and today I’m sharing one of them: The Cliffs of Moher. Honestly, I just don’t know if I have the words to truly share how awe-inspiring they were to me! I could have stayed there for days and days.
I am so excited that it is finally Fall! It is my absolute favorite time of year – I love the cooler temperatures after the heat and humidity of summer as well as the dazzling colors of the autumn leaves. It is a fleeting season though – unlike Summer and Winter which seem to drag on a little bit at times (to me at least!). Fall comes and goes fairly quickly, forcing you to stop and enjoy it today because it won’t be here long. I really like that about it too. My life is so busy that I’m not always good about stopping and really “taking in” the beauty that’s all around me. But I’ve learned over the year’s to do just that in the Autumn because if I blink – I’ll miss it!
When planning my Queen Bee luncheon table (see post here) for my project with Royal Design Studio, I wanted the runner to have a natural fiber feeling so I took a look through my fabric stash. I have lots and lots of fabric around so I also try to use something I have if possible – low and behold, the “perfect” fabric turned out to be a humble drop cloth! That’s right, a drop cloth, easily available from Lowe’s or your local hardware store was the “perfect” fabric for this chic runner!
Do you have a little girl who dreams of being a pretty Princess in your life? If so, this party is for her! Filled with lots and lots of pink and some super sparkly details, it’s perfect for your very own Royal Highness. To make this party easier I incorporated practical details like plastic tablecloths and paper plates with frilly and sparkly accents like rhinestone napkin rings, fairy wings, and luscious baked goods and flowers. Today I’m sharing how I made the tu-tu chair skirt so you can make your own!
As you saw with yesterday’s post, I seem to have a fascination with white right now… I’m not angling to redecorate my house in all white or anything but I find these images very soothing. It’s a big part of why I enjoy Brit’s blog: My Black Book. She is constantly curating gorgeous decor photography and shops from all over the world and I love being introduced to lovelies that I might not otherwise come across.
Well, I warned you last week that I’d be sharing more color stories like the Green one and here’s an all-white collection that I’m excited to share with you. Lots of layers of doilies, linen, drift wood, porcelain, buttons and more!
