Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 13th this year and to help you get ready and to make it even more special for mom I’ve designed this sweet Mother’s Day printable set and best of all – it’s FREE for you to download! That’s right! Absolutely free for you! Included is a 5″ x 7″ card, 3 1/2″ x 5″ blank gift tag and two 2″ tea bag tags for a little fun. I love tea so I couldn’t resist adding these in!
I was super surprised when I checked my mail today – for inside was the Spring 2012 issue of Stationery Trends magazine featuring MY BABY SHOWER!! Sarah Schwartz, the most delightful editor, had contacted me about featuring the shower in their ‘An Event to Remember’ column when she saw the sneak peek post we did about it. After a few delays on my part I sent Sarah the photos and now it’s featured! It is so thrilling to see one of the most special events of my life on the pages of this magazine that I so greatly admire. Especially when you consider that the divine Anna Griffin was featured recently in this column! This is THE magazine for all things paper – it’s an industry publication so unfortunately you can’t get it at the local Barnes & Noble but I will try to get a PDF or link to an online version to share with you soon. Thank you Sarah for the feature! It’s so special to me!!
I am busy, busy working on the Summer 2012 issue of Celebrating Everyday Life with Jennifer Carroll and just had to share this little teaser image with you! This is for a party scene that I am working on and I don’t want to give you too many details and spoil the surprise but I will tell you these hand dyed coffee filters are about to get some ruffle love! That’s all I’ll say for now. Can’t wait for you to see the finished project in the summer issue – fingers crossed it comes out as cleverly as it appears in my mind!
I’m a big fan of Leslie Shewring’s blog A Creative Mint. I especially love her mood board’s! They are what inspired me to create this Robin’s Egg Blue board. It began with this set of vintage inspired stamps. I love this set – I found it at Anthropologie a few years back. It’s such a sweet set. Fun for embellishing cards, gift wrap, lunch bags and more!
Good grief! Do you ever set out with a great plan for doing something only to be foiled at seemingly every turn? That’s how I’ve felt at times with my blog… Don’t get me wrong, I love it! I mean really LOVE it! But somehow life kept getting in the way. Granted this has been a zany year for me. I’ve had a lot of drama in my personal life – new baby, marriage separation, moving – twice! plus the challenges of owning my own business. There are days when I wonder how it will all work out but then my faith kicks in and I remember that that is God’s job, not mine!
Alas, Easter is over and I have a lot of hard boiled eggs loitering about in my kitchen. Now some were out for more than 2 hours so they need to go bye-bye. As I stood at the trash can about to throw out some of my lovely lace eggs, I had a brief moment of silence… and then tossed them. Fortunately, I kept others safely chilling in the fridge and it is these lucky ones that are about to become one of my most favorite treats – Deviled Eggs. But then I got to thinking how much more fun it would be to make deviled egg salad instead! I’ve never had that but I liked the sound of it and felt it was worth a try. So, I happily present to you my Deviled Egg Salad recipe!
